In Pokemon Crystal you are a new male or female trainer on your way into the Pokemon World. You have just received your first Pokemon and decide to go on the Pokemon Journey. Along your journey you will meet new trainers, friends, and Pokemon. There will be tough and difficult times on your way. It is your duty as a Pokemon trainer to keep going full steam ahead. Some goals in the game are to collect all 16 Gym Badges, become the Pokemon Champion, and catch all 251 Pokemon.

Pokemon Crystal is virtually the same as Pokemon Gold & Silver, but there are a few differences. You get to see every Pokemon animated when they appear, you get to decide whether to be male or female, and Suicune runs around the Pokemon World. All of these improvements make up for a great game, and yet some don't. I seem to lack the thought that this game is better than the other two.

Pokemon Crystal had a few differences from Pokemon Gold & Silver that were already mentioned in the Version Differences page which can be found here.

I still do not know whether to like this game or to throw it in the dumpster and pull out Pokemon Silver. Top Gaming Sites give this game a lower score than Pokemon Gold & Silver. If you haven't bought a game from the Gold, Silver, and Crystal generation then get Pokemon Crystal. If you don't have Crystal, it is not that big of a deal. Whatever you choose, you will most likely be happy with the result.
